1989 NISSAN SKYLINE BNR32 GTR - $94999

 

Nissan’s iconic flagship performance car, the ‘GTR’ was introduced in 1969 with the
legendary ‘PGC10’ series. With great success on the track, the ‘PGC10’ cemented the
recognition and capabilities of the Skyline GTR on and off the track. Fast forward to the late
80s, the third generation GTR was introduced, the BNR32 or affectionately known as
‘Godzilla’. On track success continued in Australia with Gibson Motorsport’s R32 cleaning up
the Group A competition with ease.


This gorgeous example is a 1989 Nissan Skyline BNR32 finished in an understated shade of
silver. Not much can be said to fault the aggressive styling, particularly the original BNR32
details such as the 5-spoke gunmetal grey wheels, rear spoiler, front splitter and iconic quad
rear taillights. While minimal aftermarket exterior modifications have been made, the
Kakimoto Racing exhaust looks right at home on the rear of this R32.


The driver focused interior presents well retaining GTR specific details such as the tri-spoke
steering wheel, centre console gauges and drive + passenger bolstered seats. A series of

aftermarket modifications have been made including a Pioneer stereo, shift light, footrest and
gear knob.


As per BNR32 specification, this GTR houses the infamous RB26DETT mated to a 6-speed
manual transmission and a strong all-wheel drive system. However, this RB26 has had
mechanical work completed to increase its capabilities and make it a truly excellent streetcar.

  • Can Tec cams set up from stock

  • SCAT Rods

  • Crank shot peened crack tested

  • Billet oil pump

  • TRW Pistons

  • HKS 1 up from standard upgrade turbos

  • Gearbox reconditioned

  • Haltec ECU

  • Making about 365kw at the wheels
